Infrared Sauna:, Preparation
Hydration:
Be sure to drink extra water leading up to your sauna session. You will be sweating, so it's important to increase your water intake to avoid dehydration. Also avoid drinking coffee near the appointment as it is diuretic and can dehydrate you. Make sure to continue to hydrate during and after the session as well. Please bring a full bottle of water with you for the sauna. We can refill your bottle as needed with filtered water. We also recommend drinking a raw juice or coconut water immediately afterwards. This will replace any electrolytes lost during deep sweating.

Wear comfortable clothes:
Wear loose fitting clothes (or bring a change for after) so your body can breathe. You will continue to sweat and detox for about 30-45 minutes, so plan ahead to ensure you'll be comfortable.

Wait 1 hour after your meal:
Don't go in starving and don't go in full. You want your body to be in a rested state while sweating in the sauna. If you have a full stomach, your body will be more focused on digesting than on detoxing. If you go in super hungry you may end up feeling weak or depleted. A good rule of thumb is to schedule a sauna 1-2 hours after eating, but not too far away from your last meal as to be ravenous. Having a fresh juice or coconut water will help mitigate hunger.

Please avoid wearing any perfumes or scented products. Due to the chemical nature of perfumes, they can leave a lingering effect in the sauna. This can negatively impact our other clients, some of whom have chemical sensitivities or prefer to live a life with less chemicals. Thank you for understanding!
