What does Your Health Success offer?Your Health Success is a full-service wellness facility with a variety of detoxification and relaxation programs, all utilizing natural products and devices. Health comes from the inside out and begins with inner health.
-
Why is detoxification important?Detoxification involves the removal of harmful toxins that build up in your body over time, especially in the liver, kidneys, lymphatic system and colon. The body does detoxify itself naturally to a certain extent, but in today’s polluted world, it cannot cope on its own with the amount of harmful molecules it encounters. For example, according to the World Health Organization, 13 million deaths worldwide could be prevented every year by making our environment healthier. From the pesticides in non-organic produce to the chemicals in common household products, toxins are at every turn. Your Health Success recognizes the need for purifying the body from the inside out, where health can be restored at the core level. As such, all our services focus on relieving your pain, assisting you in healing your minor to major issues, and are performed in our newly renovated Brooklyn facility.
-
What are your staff credentials? With a staff that includes colon hydrotherapists certified by the International Association for Colon Hydrotherapy, and trained professionals, your health is in good hands.

What is the Ballancer Pro and Pressotherapy? The Ballancer® Pro is a state-of-the-art, FDA-Cleared compression therapy suit, backed by decades of medical research based on the principles of manual lymphatic drainage. This technology kick-starts the body’s regenerative processes and supports the facilitation of flushing out swelling, eliminating toxins, lactic acid and muscle soreness. Versatile, relaxing, and invigorating, the Ballancer Pro brings fast and reliable results in the most comfortable setting.
-
How does it work?Once positioned in the Ballancer compression garment, the system’s intricate chamber network works to bring relief and results with each strategic inflation and deflation. It incorporates up to 24 individual overlapping chambers that inflate in sequence to provide seamless, smooth compression strokes to every inch of the body. They inflate consecutively and also overlap, this ensures there’s no chance reflux or backflow of lymphatic fluid or toxins getting pushed around. They consistently get squeezed in at 360° circumferential, even pressure, and are directionally pushed towards the thoracic duct, so they can then be excreted. Basically, this device dramatically enhances and accelerates what our body is already doing on its own. The experience has been referred to as feeling like “several people giving you a massage at once.” This massage motion, with its special direction of flow, increases circulation and gently but thoroughly decongests the problem areas of hips, thighs, buttocks (Ballancer® pants) and upper arms (Ballancer® jacket). The Body Ballancer® action speeds up the removal of waste products and excess fluid via the lymphatic system, reducing the appearance of cellulite, improving skin tone, and reducing volume in areas affected by excess fluid retention while its gentle, rhythmic action promotes relaxation.
-
Why does the pressure matter?Instrumental compression – ranging at pressure levels from 20-80mmHg – has proven to be beneficial to manage peripheral edemas (and cellulite) of the arms and legs, respectively. However to drain the fluid properly the highest precision and most calibrated pressure that adjusts to the individuals body is necessary. The Ballancer®Pro is FDA approved and the only device in the market that offers the perfect symbiosis between the programmed algorithm in the device, perfectly engineered garments and treatment modes. Only recently has this full body compression therapy and recovery device has been introduced to the US market – the leading manufacturer of the therapeutic compression extremity pumps is widely known for its effectiveness in the treatment of lymphatic and venous disorders and has more than 40 years experience backed by published medical research, including clinical and long-term studies proving its effectiveness and safety.
-
When will I see results? In the majority of cases you will see results from just one session, both for muscle tension and weight loss. To see the best possible results for weight loss, we recommend 12 sessions, completed every other day.
-
How long do the results last?Depending on your lifestyle and habits the results can last a long time, especially when done regularly.
-
Are there any side effects?People occasionally feel lightheaded from the flushing out of toxins. Often clients feel deeply relaxed, then later feel highly energized. Overall there are no side effects to the treatment.
-
What do I wear?We provide you with a light, one size fits all garment. Just make sure you are wearing underwear.
-
What can I do to improve results? We recommend maintaining a good level of hydration, as well as watching your diet.
-
Can you do it twice a day?Yes you can. The body does reach a plateau where improvements become marginal, so between 60 to 90 minutes maximum per day is recommended.
-
Why is the Lymphatic System so important?Similar to the way your blood circulatory system delivers nutrients and oxygen to all cells of the body, the lymphatic system is a complex network of vessels that branch through all parts of the body to circulate important bodily fluid and defend against infection. When functioning well, the lymphatic system helps keep the body’s needs in balance. A well functioning lymphatic system is of utmost importance for immunity, inflammation and healing. The lymphatic system is similar to a ‘lazy river’; unlike our venous system it has no pump (the heart), instead it relies solely on muscular contraction, exercise, healthy lifestyle and proper amounts of rest. When these elements are missing it stagnates and gets backed up. Lymphatic drainage can greatly assist in this and bring the body back to a state of health.
-
Who can benefit from the Ballancer Pro?The plethora of benefits from the Ballancer Pro can be split up into three major categories: Athletics, Medical, and Aesthetics. 1. Athletics: The Ballancer Pro helps eliminate toxins, lactic acid, and muscle soreness like no other device can. It helps rejuvenate the body, and can jumpstart the athlete's overall wellbeing. Athletes who use the Ballancer Pro unanimously agree that it has helped them drastically reduce recovery time, shorten rehabilitation time, and enhance peak performance. 2. Medical: The Ballancer Pro dramatically enhances and accelerates what our bodies are slowly doing on their own. Imagine the lymphatic system being similar to a lazy river. Unlike our venous system, it has no pump. The Ballancer Pro stimulates the lymphatic system and quickly helps to drain toxins, metabolic waste, and excess water from our bodies. This can be beneficial for varicose veins, lymphedema, lipedema, immune system disorders, pre and post-surgical healing, and so much more! 3. Aesthetics: The Ballancer Pro is effective in the removal of cellulite and water weight, and can treat varicose veins, boost fat mobilization, and expedite healing after cosmetic procedures.
-
What sets the Ballancer Pro apart from other compression devices?24 chambers vs. 5 chambers Precisely graduated and evenly distributed pressure, exact calibration programmable by single digits (minutes / pressure in mmHg) Maxed out at a “safe” 80mmHg Patented ‘pre-treatment’ mode that prepares the lymph nodes and body for the actual lymphatic drainage Full Body Recovery System (Not just lower legs)

How do I prepare for a colonic?Drink plenty of water the day before your colonic, but lessen this greatly an hour before the appointment so you will not need to urinate during the session. Do not eat anything for two hours beforehand. Try bringing some coconut water to your session to replenish electrolytes. Also plan on getting a green juice, fruit or smoothie after the session. You may want to plan on getting a ride, or at least not overexert yourself in getting home. At least 24 hours before your session, consider following the following regimen: No carbonated beverages No alcohol No red meat To enhance your colonic process, focus on eating fruits and vegetables. Avoid "gassy" food, such as beans, cabbage, onions, etc.
-
How long will the colonic procedure last?About 45 minutes
-
Is a Colonic painful?Colonics aren’t painful but they can be uncomfortable. There are times during a colonic where you may experience diarrhea like cramping sensations. Most people will experience cramps coinciding with a waste release. When your colonic is done and you allow your body to finish releasing all the water and waste inside of you, the awareness of active peristalsis will stop and you should be able to get on with your day comfortably. We suggest sitting on the device for several minutes (3-5) following your session to allow the body time to finish emptying. Many people discover that they feel lighter, more clean and clear afterward; they acknowledge that any discomfort they may feel is part of the deep cleansing, and a means to this incredible feeling of emptiness and clarity they experience once the session is complete.
-
Are Colonics Safe?Yes. Colonics are a safe and effective method to cleanse your colon. Colonics and enemas are categorized as an extremely low risk service by insurance providers.
-
Are there contraindications to colon hydrotherapy?Yes. If you have certain conditions we may not be able to treat you with colon hydrotherapy unless you have a written referral from your doctor. Please call us to discuss your situation. We will do what we can to help you. Contraindications for current conditions: anal fissure, anal fistula, anemia (severe), aneurism, bowel impaction, cardiac disease (severe, uncontrolled hypertension or congestive heart failure), cirrhosis, Crohn’s disease (acute inflammatory or bleeding stages), colon cancer, colon, rectal or abdominal surgery (less than 6 months ago), colostomy, dysentery, diverticulitis (episode less than 6 months ago), GI hemorrhage/perforation, hemorrhoids (now painful or major bleeding), abdominal or laguinal hernia (un-repaired), kidney dialysis, pregnancy in 1st or last trimester, rectal bleeding, renal insufficiency, tumor in the rectum or large intestine, ulcerative colitis (active or bleeding).
-
Will the colonic flush out all my good bacteria? No. Colonics rid the colon of waste. We need to clean the environment of the colon so that friendly bacteria can thrive and keep our immune system strong. Otherwise, the unfriendly bacteria will eventually overpower the immune system and we'll get sick in one way or another. Practically ALL disease is related to fermenting toxic waste in the colon, the bloodstream and throughout the body.
-
CAN A COLONIC PERFORATE THE BOWEL?No. No one has ever made this claim against a colon hydrotherapist and proven that the introduction of warm filtered water caused perforation to their tissues. This is a common inquiry we get usually based on two things: internet myth & doctors and healthcare providers who are ignorant about colonics. With the system we use, there is no part of our equipment that goes beyond the rectum. Furthermore, our equipment is FDA registered and can be found in some hospitals. If someone tells you that colonics are dangerous, chances are that person has no idea how colonics work, what their purpose is, or they have a bias. Colonoscopies are infinitely more dangerous than colonics and DO perforate the bowel at much higher frequencies than most people realize.
-
What can I expect after the colonic? Most people remark about how great, light, clean and clear they feel. If the body is extremely toxic, one may feel a bit fatigued as old toxins that have been stored throughout your body are now re-circulating into the colon. For some, the colonic may trigger several subsequent bowel movements for the next few hours, but there will most likely not be any uncontrollable urgency or discomfort. It's also possible you may feel light-headed or chilled for a few moments following a colonic. This is why bringing electrolytes for the close of the treatment can be helpful. Digestion and elimination will be weaker for the next couple of days, as the system resets. Your next bowel movement is sometimes delayed for up to 2 days, and this is perfectly normal. Try to eat lighter during this time.
-
CAN I HAVE A COLONIC WHILE menstruating?Yes. Please take your cycle into consideration as we do not cancel appointments due to starting your period. Many of our clients say that receiving a session of colon hydrotherapy while on their cycle helps with feeling bloated, cramps, and moodiness.
-
CAN I GET A COLONIC WHILE PREGNANT?You can have a colonic in the second trimester (not the first or third). We require a doctor's written prescription to do this. If you are constipated and uncomfortable, colonics can be very helpful during this time
-
WHY DO I SKIP A BOWEL MOVEMENT FOLLOWING A COLONIC?Most of our clients skip the next 24-48 hours of bowel movement. This DOES NOT mean the colonic made you constipated. When we empty the contents of the large intestine, you will experience a truer understanding of your own transit time (the time it takes your body to move food through your digestive tract from consumption to evacuation).
-
What are some signs of a colon not functioning properly?Constipation, coated tongue, bad breath, sallow complexion, dark circles under the eyes, abnormal body odor, cold hands and feet, blood pressure up or down, brittle nails and hair, sagging posture (pot belly), tension, fatigue, allergies, indigestion, gas, bloating, menstrual problems, swelling of legs, asthma, backache, skin problems, and loss of memory or concentration.
-
Will a laxative accomplish the same results as a colon hydrotherapy session?Laxatives cause short term emptying of the colon, primarily through a dehydrating, irritant action. This action leads to the production of a thin watery mucous substance that goes through the colon and leaves behind impacted waste and toxins. Colon hydrotherapy uses pure water that does not irritate the colon or body, resulting in the promotion of full body hydration.
-
ARE COLONICS ADDICTIVE?No. Colonics tone and hydrate and have been used to retrain the bowels to have regular healthy bowel movements. Colonics are very helpful to people with compromised transit time as they help flush stagnant waste that would otherwise be auto intoxicating. Though rare, some people depend on colonics and home enemas to assist them in having regular bowel evacuations. These people often have diagnosed conditions, take medication that inhibits regular evacuation (some cancer drugs do this), or are wheelchair or bed bound, causing their transit time to dramatically slow down. In these cases, the use of regular colonics or enemas isn't seen as "addictive", they're seen as a tool so that some people do not struggle with constipation for weeks at a time. There are people who use colonics in place of practicing a healthy lifestyle (drinking enough water, eating healthy food, moving their bodies), but these people would be constipated regardless if they received regular colon hydrotherapy; in other words, colonics aren't causing their constipation - they're failing to address why they're constipated in the first place. Those who fly on planes can frequently become constipated as well. For people with chronic constipation, many would prefer to have regular colonics versus take prescription medication with side effects or face the uncomfortable bloated feeling of retaining excess waste in their body. We're not here to judge; we're here to help.
-
Who can perform a HOCATT treatment? Our therapists and staff have received training and certification from HOCATT USA.
-
How does the HOCATT work? The HOCATT works by removing toxins which allows for better cell function. Each session is 30 minutes long. For the first 3-8 minutes of your session, carbonic acid (CA) and steam moisten the skin and enter through pores into the lymph system. CA is one of the few compounds that increases the uptake and delivery of oxygen at the cellular level. Blood vessels and capillaries dilate, increasing blood circulation up to 25%. After the CA cycle completes, the ozone cycle begins. When ozone reacts with the water from the steam, it creates H202 which aids in destroying bacterial and yeast/fungal infections. At the end of the session, all ozone and oxygen steam is extracted into the ozone destructor and the session ends.
-
What should I expect on the day of my HOCATT?You must be well hydrated the day prior and the morning of your session. Please eat a light meal beforehand. After your session, please continue to hydrate. Do not bathe for 6 hours after to allow the ozone to continue penetrating your skin for optimal results.
-
How long does the procedure take? Each HOCATT session lasts about 30 minutes. Altogether you should allow for an hour of time.
-
Will the procedure need to be repeated?Yes, for optimum detoxification. Most protocols recommend 2-3 sessions per week, but some cases may require daily sessions initially. A couple of sessions per month are recommended even for the most healthy clients looking to detox or just maintain their wellness and vitality.
-
What are the side effects of the HOCATT?A rash or flu like symptoms may rarely occur due to the detoxing process.
-
What risks are involved?A patient may become dehydrated if they do not properly hydrate the day prior and day of their session. The main reason to be hydrated is to increase blood volume and prevent fainting.
-
How much does the procedure cost?Prices start at $150.00 per session or a package of 10 for $1,275.00

What is an Infrared Sauna? In the infrared sauna, infrared light penetrates several inches into the body and creates heat, resulting in a whole-body hyperthermia on a cellular level to make you sweat.
-
What are the benefits?Sweating is the best way to rid the body of toxins (toxic drugs, pollutants, pesticides and heavy metals), which in turn improves the immune system and overall health. Sweating is also a great way to increase metabolic rate and reduce stress -- it’s like a workout without the work -- burning 600+ calories per session. The infrared sauna helps you detoxify, improves circulation, lymphatic drainage and cardiovascular health, reduces pain, increases your metabolic rate to jumpstart weight loss, rejuvenates your skin, and reduces stress and cortisol levels. Repeated exposure to heat from infrared light results in cumulative health benefits.
-
Is this like a regular steam sauna?Nope! Invisible light heats the body, not the surrounding air, so it is more comfortable and allows you to enjoy a longer session than with traditional steam saunas.
-
Is Infrared good for anti-aging?Yes! The infrared sauna is great for reducing wrinkles and crow’s feet, and it helps improve overall skin tone, including softness, smoothness, elasticity, clarity and firmness.
-
Is the infrared sauna safe?Yes! Unlike sunbathing, exposure to infrared heat therapy is safe and won’t cause the skin to burn. Far infrared heat is a form of radiant energy. The sun is an example of the principal source of infrared radiant energy that we experience on a daily basis. All human bodies absorb, as well as emit, infrared radiant energy. Infrared Sauna heat emitters produce a specific bandwidth of radiant energy that matches the vibrational frequency of the human body. This process is also known as resonant absorption. No harmful UV rays are emitted.
-
I’ve heard about electromagnetic fields (EMFs) -- is your infrared sauna safe from EMFs?EMFs are like invisible energy emissions that come from any object that uses electricity. Though infrared saunas are large and powered by electricity, the technology used in our Clearlight Infrared Sauna keeps EMF in an extremely low range of 0.2 to 0.3 mG, virtually zero EMF. For context, the Environmental Protection Agency has previously proposed a safety standard of 3 mG, with anything below 3 mG being deemed as safe. Clearlight Saunas rate as one of the lowest EMF Saunas on the market today.
-
How long do you recommend for each infrared sauna session? We recommend gradually working your way up to 45-minutes. Your sweating and detoxification continues after you get out of the sauna for about 30- to 60-minutes afterwards, so it is not recommended that you shower right afterwards as it will shorten the benefits of the detoxification process.
-
What do I wear in the sauna? We provide towels and wraps for your convenience.
-
How should I prepare for my infrared sauna experience?Obviously with all the sweating, you want to make sure to rehydrate! Please come to each session well-hydrated, not hungover or after drinking alcohol. Drinking water is available in the reception area. Please only use glass or stainless steel bottles in the sauna.
-
Is it clean?Yes! Our saunas are sanitized after each use. Infrared light kills all bacteria and any airborne germs.
-
How many people can fit in your sauna?Up to 4 people
-
Can children use the infrared sauna? In general, children above the age of 12 can use the infrared sauna for a brief session. Children who are prepubescent are not able to thermoregulate (regulate their body temperature through proper sweat production) as well as adults do, so please consult with your primary care provider before using the infrared sauna. The core body temperature of children rises much faster than adults. This occurs due to a higher metabolic rate per body mass, limited circulatory adaptation to increased cardiac demands and the inability to regulate body temperature by sweating. When using with a child, operate at a lower temperature and for no more than 15 minutes at a time.
-
Who cannot use the infrared sauna?Infrared Sauna use is not recommended for people who are pregnant, children under 12, those who cannot handle temperature extremes, those with hemophila, fever, insensitivity to heat, and those under the influence of alcohol or who abuse alcohol.
-
How safe is Infrared Heat?Infrared heat is completely safe and healthy for all living things. You can be exposed to infrared light for hours without the risk of burning. Infrared is a naturally occurring output of the sun, but does not contain the harmful UV rays associated with unprotected sunlight. In fact, infrared heat is so safe, it is used in hospitals to warm newborn infants.
-
What’s the difference between Infrared Saunas and Traditional Saunas?Infrared heat is very gentle. The experience is similar to lying in the sun on a warm day and feeling the heat radiate to the core of your body. Unlike traditional (hot rock or steam) saunas–which operate at well in excess of 200°F–infrared heat has the benefit of being effective at a more comfortable operating temperature of 100°-158°F. Traditional saunas heat the air vs. the body directly. Rather than inducing detoxification and relaxation, this can make the experience unbearably hot and difficult to breathe. Because infrared heat penetrates human tissue vs. simply heating the surface of the skin, infrared saunas are seven times more effective than traditional saunas at detoxifying the body. By raising the body’s core temperature, infrared saunas can produce a sweat composed of 20% toxins vs. only 3% toxins with a traditional sauna. This equates to reduced inflammation in joints, helping to regenerate damaged tissues, increasing your metabolism. The increased core temperature also helps the immune system by weakening and killing cancers cells, bacteria, and viruses that are all susceptible to heat.
-
Can the Elderly use Infrared Saunas? The ability to maintain core body temperature decreases with age. This is primarily due to circulatory conditions and decreased sweat gland function. The body must be able to activate its natural cooling processes in order to maintain core body temperature. When using with the elderly, operate at a lower temperature and for no more than 15 minutes at a time.
-
Do I have to make an Appointment? It does take some time to get the sauna heated up so to ensure we have it at an adequate temperature prior to your arrival, we recommend you schedule your sauna sessions rather than just dropping in.
-
How long is each Infrared Sauna session?A typically recommended session will be about 30 to 60 minutes in duration. However, several factors will influence how long to stay in an infrared sauna with the most important factor being how your body is reacting to the sauna session. You should always listen to your body and you do not want to overdo it by staying in the sauna for too long. If you’re a newcomer to infrared saunas, you should try a lower temperature and end your first few sessions after only 15 to 25 minutes. It is recommended that you gradually increase the temperature and duration of your sessions. It is important to always pay attention to your body and ensure it’s not giving you any warning signs like feeling faint, dizziness, lightheadedness or general discomfort. If any of these warnings arise, you should end your session immediately and focus on rehydrating yourself. If you ever start to feel as though your body is giving you warning signals, pay attention to them.
-
Does the Infrared Sauna strengthen the Immune System?Spending time in an Infrared Sauna can increase the body’s temperature several degrees and can further weaken sick or diseased cells, which have a lowered resistance to heat. The heat also initiates the production of white blood cells and NK (Natural Killer) cells which seek out these weakened cells and bacteria and kill them. This results in a strengthened immune system. In similar fashion, a fever is a natural way for the body to increase its temperature to kill off these cells.
-
How does the Sauna affect my Cardiovascular System? There is research showing that the cardiovascular system is strengthened through repeated Infrared Sauna use. When the light penetrates the body and converts to heat, the hypothalamus responds and increases heart rate and volume. This is an effective way to train and condition the heart. The infrared light produces another effect which increases cardiovascular function. When the body increases heat, the fatty acids and cholesterols melt. Many of these fatty acids and cholesterols are hardening the arteries and keeping them from expanding and contracting as necessary for proper circulation. This hardening of the arteries causes the heart to work harder at circulating the blood and when the fatty acids and cholesterols melt, it increases the elasticity of the hardened arteries which takes much of the burden off the heart and, therefore, decreasing the chance for heart failure.
-
How does the Infrared Sauna affect my skin?Research has shown, the Infrared Sauna has many salutary effects on the skin. Sebum is a waxy substance produced in the skin which can block pores and cause acne. Infrared light melts the sebum and unblocks the pores. Another effect the Infrared Sauna has is that it increases blood circulation to the skin which means that the body has the ability to deliver the necessary nutrients to the skin as well as remove the metabolic byproducts. The heat from the Infrared Sauna also has the detoxifying effect which purges the toxins from the skin as well as melts the cellulite trapped in pockets below the skin producing clean, smooth-looking skin. It also increases the healing of damaged tissues which causes scars and keloids to be reduced. You may also find some of the other effects on the skin are improvements with rashes, burns, eczema, and psoriasis.
-
Can I bring my phone inside the sauna?Although there is far less moisture inside a far infrared sauna, the thing to worry about is the heat. Most electronics don’t do well with prolonged heat exposure, so if you care for your phone, it’s best to leave it outside the sauna. As a reference, iOSdevices should only be used in ambient temperatures of 32°F to 95°F. Far-infrared saunas operate between 110°F and 158°F, so carry at your own risk. Plan to bring a book or magazine for entertainment instead.
